West Java Outreach Vaccination Program
Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
I joined a COVID-19 vaccination project called EpiC from FHI 360 that is funded by USAID and PEPFAR. This project was originally aimed to control HIV/AIDS outbreak which then switched to help COVID-19 vaccination program in Indonesia. I am located as a medical doctor in West Java, Indonesia. The location area and the frequency of the program vary, depending on the demand from the local health officials.
As a medical doctor, I am assigned to screen patients and determine
whether their underlying health conditions meet all criteria for COVID
jabs. If they pass the screening process, they are available to receive
a shot at the vaccination booth. The number of participants can be as
low as 300 or as many as 1,000 each day. They were registered the day
before by the primary care or the local village.
